As car traffic and road pollution has reduced during these strange times, why not give cycling to work a go? Half of our first deck is dedicated to bicycles (plus motorbikes and mobility scooters) so we can safely take up to 20 bicycles and still maintain the two metre distancing. Cycling to work allows people to maintain social distancing whilst getting much needed outdoor time and exercise.
Not only that, but research published from the University of Cambridge suggests that if more people cycled to work after lockdown deaths from heart disease and cancer could sharply reduce. Cyclists were 20 per cent less likely to die early, compared with those who drove, and 24 per cent less likely to die from cardiovascular disease, which includes heart attacks and strokes. They also had a 16 per cent reduced rate of death from cancer. Read more….
