Gosport Ferry Ltd, has a long and proud tradition of service to the local communities. In its heyday the ferry carried nearly 10 million passengers a year across Portsmouth Harbour. Today, passenger numbers are around 4 million, but the Gosport ferry remains by far the busiest short route ferry service in the country.
Gosport Ferry has been providing a vital link across Portsmouth Harbour from Gosport to Portsea for over one hundred years and the company is proud to be able to continue this tradition of service to the local community and visitors alike.
Providing passengers with a relaxing, trouble free means of crossing the harbour it removes the need to undertake an increasingly congested road journey of some 16 miles from Gosport to Portsmouth.
